The tap water you drink, shower or do laundry in
on a daily basis may contain lead, chlorine,
chlorination by-products, bacteria and
other microorganisms. |

Chlorine Affect
Chlorine is used
to disinfect water to make it suitable for drinking
and bathing. However, chlorine begins to react with
other organic matter in the water to form by-products
that could pose potential health risks. Greenpeace has
reported that chlorine-based compounds are the most
common toxic and persistent pollutants in the Great
Lakes.
According to the NRDC, chlorination by-products from
chlorinated water pose potential health risks due to
the inhalation and dermal exposure during showering
and bathing.
Chemicals, chlorine, sediments, bacteria and microorganisms
enter your home through the delivery system at the point
of entry. The point of entry is the gateway
for these sediments, bacteria and chemicals and this
is where our system works for you.
Lead Contamination
Much of the lead
we have in our water system may come directly from our
aged municipal water system as well as the lead solder
we use to join the copper pipe for our household water
system. The EPA estimates that lead poisoning is the
number one environmental threat to children in the U.S.A.
In fact, the EPA states that lead dosage that would
have little effect on adults can be very harmful to
small children leading to developmental issues, such
as attention span and learning disabilities as well
as kidney problems.
The long-term affects from high doses of lead in adults
can increase the chances of damage to the central nervous
system, an increase in hypertension and high blood pressure.
The EPA estimates that lead in drinking water contributes
to 480,00 cases of learning disorders in children and
560,000 cases of hypertension in adults each year in
the U.S.A. alone.
