Deciding which system you should buy is basically a matter of how many people you

have in your home. The average kitchen and bathroom faucets use 1.2 gallons of water

per minute. The average dishwasher uses 2.0 gpm, your bathtub fills at about 4.0 gpm

while your shower head flows at an average of 2.2 gpm. Washing machines use an

average of 2.1 gpm.

Based on national per capita water use, we suggest the following:

• 1- 6 person household a 8 gpm system
• 6+ person household a 12 gpm system

These cartridges are manufactured using a patented process that yields a cartridge with a nominal 10-micron filtration rating, high porosity and chlorine taste & odor reduction. The high porosity design helps prevent the cartridge from plugging before its absorption capability is exhausted, maximizing the utilization of the carbon while maintaining low pressure drop.

These cartridges are protected by Endurawrap™, a uniquely formulated polyolefin bilaminate pre-filter, designed to significantly increase the useful life of the cartridge by trapping sediment that typically plugs carbon block cartridges.

These cartridges are manufactured entirely from FDA-compliant materials making them an ideal choice for a wide range of residential, food service, commercial and industrial applications.

Sediment Filter Specification: Dual Gradient Density

Designed and manufactured to work in residential/ commercial as well as rural water applications, the dual gradient filter is manufactured from pure 100% polypropylene and design for purity. This filter does not impart taste, odor, or color to the water being filtered. The advance design combines selective filtration with pre-filtration to achieve up to three time the sediment holding capacity, this capacity and performance is matched and maintained by combining two separate gradients into a single filter.

The larger depth of the pre-filter reduces the particle load to the post filter allowing higher velocities of output. The effective filter increase to a full 233% over standard spun-polypropylene or string –wound filters.

UV Light Specifications

Bacteriological contamination can be present in all water supplies, especially in rural areas. It is recommended that no surface waters be consumed without adequate microbiological treatment, regardless of how the water is tested. Unlike traditional disinfection methods such as chlorination (which cannot only react with natural organic matter in water to produce objectionable taste and odor, but also forms substances with potential carcinogenic properties such as trihalomethane), UV imparts no residual chemicals into the water.

Ultraviolet water sterilizers incorporate natural ultraviolet light energy to eradicate microbiological contamination. Vital genetic components contained in microorganisms absorb the light energy; this disrupts the DNA and prevents reproduction. Treated water then exits through the top port of the generator cell and is ready for consumption.

Protection

In addition to bacteria (E. Coli), virus, algae, mold and others, UV systems are now considered effective against protozoa such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia lamblia. UV effectively DESTROYS these protozoan cysts at dosage levels well within the levels delivered by ultraviolet disinfection systems.
